Dr. Slutsky graduated from New York University in 1981, the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1985, and completed a two year orthodontic residency at the New York University College of Dentistry in 1987. He is an Assistant Professor of Orthodontics at Temple University. Dr. Slutsky is also the President of the Northeast Dental Society and has lectured at numerous teaching facilities and dental meetings.
Dr. Slutsky is Board Certified - he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Board certification in this specialty requires extensive preparation. The practitioner must first pass a difficult examination and then appear before a board of nationally respected orthodontists to present various cases which he has treated. The biggest benefit of being a Diplomate is the tremendous self-evaluation which the orthodontist undergoes and the "real world" knowledge gained from successfully treating such a wide spectrum of cases.
