Daniel Chen, D.M.D. graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2003 and then completed a two year orthodontic residency at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 2005. Prior to attending dental school, Dr. Chen graduated from the University of British Columbia in 1999 with an Honors BSc. He has worked with Dr. Slutsky since 2005.

Dr. Chen teaches orthodontics at the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He is Board Certified - he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontists. He also is a member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Pennsylvania Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, and the Philadelphia County Dental Society.

While at Penn Dental, Dr. Chen received the Louis Wolf Award for graduating in the top three of his class. He has published multiple articles on bone and cancer research, and has received several research awards. He was awarded "Clinician of the Year" in his graduating class from dental school, and was class president of his orthodontic residency.
