
Harold Slutsky, D.M.D. graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1985 and completed a residency in Orthodontics at New York University in 1987. . Prior to studying at Dental School, he attended New York University and graduated cum laude after only three years of college. . Dr. Slutsky has been practicing in Mayfair since 1987.
Dr. Slutsky is a Clinical Associate Professor (Adjunct) of Orthodontics at Temple Dental School and is Course Director of both the Junior Dental Student Lecture Series and the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency Lecture Series. He is a published author in several peer reviewed dental journals. He is also President of the Northeast Dental Society.
Dr. Slutsky is Board Certified - he is a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics. Board certification in this specialty requires extensive preparation. The practitioner must first pass a difficult examination and then appear before a board of nationally respected orthodontists to present various cases which he has treated. The biggest benefit of being a Diplomate is the tremendous self-evaluation which the orthodontist undergoes and the "real world" knowledge gained from successfully treating such a wide spectrum of cases.
Dr. Slutsky is a member of the College of Diplomates of the American Board of Orthodonitcs, American Association of Orthodontists, Pennsylvania Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, Pennsylvania Dental Association, and Philadelphia County Dental Society.
